What to Expect on Your Introductory Flight

Intro Flying Lessons at Classic Air Aviation

Preparing for your Intro Flight

1. Please dress appropriately

Wear closed-toe shoes and if wated, sunglasses and or a hat.  The temperature change from ground to flight is not that drastic so no need to bring a down jacket unless you need it on the ground before taking off.

2. Please Eat-light

Depending on the time of day the air can be a little bumpy and some might develop motion sickness. A light breakfast or lunch will help with the queasiness.

3. Please bring your camera

There will be plenty of opportunities to take pictures before, during and after your flight. We would hate to have you miss the chance to take home some memories!

4. Please Be flexible but on-time

Please show up at your designated time.  There is no need to show up earlier than your scheduled flight. Being located on a general aviation airport you will not have to deal with the TSA and we only have a few pieces of paper for you to sign. Our instructors run a pretty tight schedule and we want to make sure your experience is as enjoyable as possible. If your are more than 30 minutes late we reserve the right to cancel your flight and forfeit your voucher.
Aviation is an industry that is most safe when not rushed. Sometimes circumstances delay or even cancel flights. We ask that you understand safety is paramount and although we value our customer’s time, we value safety first!

5. Please Come Expecting

We require that each pilot sign a liability waiver and consent form as well as complete an customer information form before each flight. Additionally, please bring a legible copy of either a birth certificate or passport in order to comply with TSA regulations ONLY if you plan to continue your training. Please also bring your voucher this can be printed off your account, or it should have been emailed.

If you have a friend or family member that would like to come along for the ride, no problem! We do; however, require a $50 fee. Additionally, our pilots greatly appreciate your gratuity and there will be an opportunity to tip your instructor and your office staff when you are finished with your flight. Please remember that this is the way they make their living and you show your appreciation ($20 per flight, per passenger is customary).
